Alan Pelaez Lopez is an Afro-Indigenous poet, collage, installation and adornment artist from Oaxaca, México. In their art, they explore the intersections of PTSD, undocumented immigration, Indigeneity, queer feelings, and Black flesh. Their work has been nominated for the âPushcart Prizeâ and âBest of the Net,â and appears in POETRY Magazine, Everyday Feminism, Rewire News, Splinter News & elsewhere. Most recently, their work has been selected to appear in the Best American Experimental Writing. Follow them as @migrantscribble.
