The Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality is hosting its inaugural event in a new "Gender & Work" series. This series brings women and gender minorities who have extensive backgrounds in fields such as finance, business, technology, law, or medicine to reflect on their career experiences with undergraduate and graduate students.
Our first event features Shellwyn Weston, who built her career in finance management and, after receiving a PhD from NYU Stern, now works in the fields of neuroeconomic and behavioral finance at the NYU Center for Neural Science. Dr. Weston will be in conversation with Megan Kelly, who worked in management consulting before receiving her MA in Sociology from the University of Chicago in 2018. Kristen Schilt, the Director for CSGS, will serve as the moderator.
The event will take the form of a structured conversation for 30 minutes, and then will open up to Q&A from the audience.
