Engendering Change is an annual graduate student organized conference focused on issues of gender and sexuality. The conference rotates host locations between the University of Chicago, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Northwestern University; in 2018, the conference will be held at the University of Chicago. ----------------------------------------------------------------- FRIDAY, APRIL 13 at 5pm Performance Night (curated by Chase Joynt) “From Occupy to Decolonize: Movement Strategies” with MTL COLLECTIVE (Nitasha Dhillon and Amin Husain) What can be done in the city to sustain our movements and each other? What are strategic actions beyond our issue silos and practice of protests and rallies? How do we reorient ourselves to see and create decolonial spaces and formations in the city? How do we translate "becoming ungovernable" into concrete action? The MTL Collective is a collaboration joining research and aesthetic, theory and practice, action and organizing.
