"Sharing Our Stories": Exhale’s National Pro-Voice Tour - University of Chicago Student Seminar; Five courageous abortion storytellers – Kate, Kassi, Mayah, Natalia, and Ronak - are hitting the road to bring the pro-voice message to college campuses across the country. At each event, the Fellows will share their abortion stories and teach the basics for pro-voice communication to give students new ideas and tools to support people who experience abortion. The presentation will include interactive activities with the audience, so please be prepared to engage with the speakers. What is pro-voice? Pro-voice is a term coined by Exhale, a community of people with personal abortion experiences, and our loved ones, who use listening and storysharing to create abortion peace. Pro-voice is our philosophy and our practice and we want to share it with the world. Pro- voice is actually quite simple: we believe that if we listen and show support and respect to each person who has experienced abortion, the world, quite simply, will be changed. This event is sponsored by the University of Chicago Human Rights Program, Resources for Sexual Violence Prevention (RSVP), and the Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality. RSVPs are required. This program is open to all University of Chicago students. Please send your name and program/school to spmoberg@uchicago.edu. Lunch will be provided.
