STEALTH: A Work-in-Progress
Sponsored by the Artists' Salon at the Center for the Study of Gender of Sexuality
with Chase Joynt and Alexis Mitchell
Join Gray Center Mellon Fellow and CSGS Artists' Salon collaborator Chase Joynt for a one-time-only work-in-progress feedback screening of his newest film STEALTH. Chase and his co-director, Toronto-based media artist Alexis Mitchell together will welcome critical feedback and insights on the film. STEALTH merges hidden camera footage of a patient's surgical procedure with performative vignettes of the objects featured in these medical encounters. By speaking to the objects in the spaces rather than the people, STEALTH explores the intimate and objectifying experience of the surgical table. Screening time is approximately 30 mins with discussion, snacks and drinks to follow.
